My opinion of the Oxy Daily Cleansing Pads OTC product with salicylic acid as part of an anti-acne regiment.

The Oxy Daily Cleansing Pads are another product that I used in high school when my acne was very mild.

The active ingredient in Oxy Pads is salicylic acid which works well to exfoliate the skin, and keep pores from clogging.

I did find that the Oxy pads could really dry out my skin if I used them right after a shower or after washing my face. Sometimes the dryness would lead to redness, irritation and peeling.

After awhile, I learned to only use the Oxy pads when my face felt really greasy and dirty. I also figured out that just passing the pad once over each section of my face kept it from removing all of my skin's natural moisture.

The combination of the Oxy pads and my usage of other anti-acne products seemed to cause more irritation to my sensitive skin.

Eventually, I just tossed my container of Oxy pads into my back pack for use on camping trips, or other outdoor activities where I would be away from running water for most of the day.

I've read that some people like to keep their Oxy pads in the refrigerator so that the pads give your face a cold soothing effect. I tried it out when I was using the pads almost every day and I found that it was too inconvenient for me to go all the way to the fridge in the middle of my morning routine.
